Cat's Meow Outdoor Blend
Research went in to creating an effective outdoor blend for my family. I learned that catnip and vanilla both are effect at making one's skin unappetizing to flying creatures. I also learned that essential oils vaporize and don't have lasting power. I decided to use fractionated coconut oil in my blend to provide that lasting power. My family and my friends give this a two thumbs up for the 'skeeters, but it has not been tested for the annoying no-see-ums. In spring I purpose plant lemon scented herbs in pots on my patio which smell wonderful - and they are handy to have for making one's own blend as well.
