In 2021 I was introduced to the enneagram, which is reported to be more accurate than Meyers Briggs and other personality tests. For an overview of what the enneagram provides... this link will take you to Dr. Tom LaHue, an enneagram coach on YT, who provides an overview.
I had learned about enneagrams when Pastor Derek Mason, at Lighthouse in Mt. Horeb, WI had those of us in his spiritual warfare class take the WEPSS test. This better allows Pastor Derek to better know how to address a person without putting them on defensive, etc. Pastor Derek had also referred us to Dr. Tim LaHue who has videos on YouTube as an enneagram coach. WEPSS site offers the enneagram test for $15 and includes a nicely detailed result PDF. For anyone in a relationship of ANY kind...whether with a parent, a child, a partner or spouse - this goes beyond the 5 love languages. https://wepss.com/ When I received my own test results two years ago I listened to Dr. LaHue discuss attributes of a 9 - I felt like he had gone into my brain!! I had always been a person that shies away from conflict. However, we are always growing in who we are. I was a strong wing 8 two years ago, and because I see the real threat to our nation today in 2023, I am more outspoken and suspect I would retest as an 8. I certainly am not the 9 who buries my head in the sand. |
Check it out...if you feel you are butting heads often with someone in your life - suggest you both take the test so you can better understand one another. This will create a much more peaceful environment.

There are those who lump Enneagram study in with the occult - presumably because of the shape it draws. Math is math. Geometry creates shapes. I have not seen any evidence of "occultishness" in a book that is helping one learn how to communicate with others. |
