Pet Food Matters
If you have pets, your pet food makes all the difference in their long term health.
Foods with contaminants and fillers can be a major contributor to liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes, or even cancer. All of these diseases have greatly escalated in pets in the past several decades. Veterinarians benefit from expensive surgeries and prescribing medications. Knowing that a DMV can profit from recommending a food product, would you trust them 100% or would you raise an eyebrow and dig deeper for the sake of your beloved pet? Have you looked at an ingredient label on Science Diet? It contains numerous grains, and you can bet none of them are organic - aka glyphosate toxins are most assured. Please do NOT purchase dog food that is either made in China, or ingredients are shipped in from China and manufactured in the USA. Many assume that if the food is made here in the U.S. that the ingredients are all from within the states, and this is simply not the case for all companies. Dogs and cats are carnivores. Look for grain free and make sure the first ingredient is real meat and not a by-product, such as "meals" for instance. If grain is in a product, rice is not as bad as the others - but again, from where is it sourced? Rice grown in China and the U.S. is GMO, and typically contaminated with heavy metals. Look for recalls - Blue Buffalo had lots of recalls years ago. I also recall a number of dog food brands recalled for containing melamine (aka the material that is often used for plastic dinnerware), of which cancer as a side-effect. Now if you do a google search for Purina and melamine - the top hit is going to be Snopes disputing this. Know that Snopes is NOT our friend, but a bought and paid for propaganda machine of misinformation. Know that pet food is made from down and sick animals - the tumors, infection in the form of pus, all that sickness is in the food. Don't believe for one moment they are butchering the animal and extracting only the health meat and fats. The best food for your pet is raw food - to learn more check out https://rotationalmonofeeding.com/. |
Pet food brands to research. The following brands are listed in the Qest4 Pet Scan and at one time were researched, however, every year companies sell out - so do you own diligence please.
Azure Standard offers pet food treats and canned dog food. This company is pretty solid in offering healthy, researched choices for human needs. Quickly reviewing several pet products - the brands offered appear to be clean and healthy. Although Azure offerings are limited in regard to food - look into these companies by searching for their website.
Products such as shampoo, etc.

This page is dedicated to Duke, a 4 mo. old rescue puppy that my cousin adopted in May of 2024. I have not had a dog for a decade, and the cat now lives with my son. With all I have learned in recent years, I know that having a pet and properly feeding it is no longer a matter of opening up a bag of kibble and putting it in a bowl. My daughter has extensively researched cat food brands for the cat. To have another dog would require a lot of research on my part. I would feed raw, for the most part, but also find ways to travel and continue to provide clean nutrition for my dog.
I have a friend who has a freeze-dryer and he hunts as well. He freeze-dries the venison, duck and more that he successfully harvests, cuts it into meat chunks and freeze-dries it for traveling food.
Duke is a wonderful pup...if he had a brother I would seriously consider another dog. I have never met such a well-behaved puppy, and he cuddles, too! He has inspired me to start writing a Qest4 program with food brands.
