Tick Removal & Post Treatment
We believe in preparedness. Before summer begins we receive numerous calls on how to remove a tick from a child. People are simply not prepared, and there are certain items to have on hand to immediately address pathogens carried by ticks. We encourage you to obtain the items on this list and have a kit in your vehicle, home, camping gear, etc. Below are links to create your own Tick Removal Kit.
We first learned of this protocol at the 2014 Lyme summit, where homeopathic Joette Calabrese was a featured speaker. She recommends keeping Ledum palustre 200C on hand to take as soon as possible after being bit by a tick, or any Lyme bacteria carrying insect: spider, chiggers, etc. Few people realize that all biting insects can carry Lyme borne pathogens and that Lyme disease is also a bio-weapon. Of course prevention is key. The Purely Living Wellness Bug-B-Gone, available in 4 oz bottoles, is safe for both humans and pets. DEET contains neurotoxins that affect the brain cells of all humans, but especially children. I am quite positive the tick collars are equally as toxic. For DIYers, we have a recipe available - Tick Tac No Blend - follow the link to the recipe and make up your own - spray it especially on ankles/socks when you are going to be out walking in grasses. Effective essential oils we have found effective include Edens Garden and Snow Lotus, or Rose Mountain. Brush pet fur backward so that the spray applies to the skin underneath. Also consider a summer cut for your dog to make it easier to spot ticks and remove them. Bio-resonance scans provided by Purely Living Wellness can help to identify strains of pathogens carried by biting insects. Usually we receive a notice from a PMA member letting us know a specimen will be dropped off. We can usually fit this scan in within 24 hrs. weekdays, and the remedy can be picked up or mailed. You may contact us to learn more or schedule an appointment. |
Other items for your tick removal kit:
Warm weather is meant to be enjoyed outdoors without worrying about ticks and insect bites. Be prepared with an effective all natural bug spray, such as Purely Living's Bug-B-Gone. When heading to the woods wear light colored sock so that ticks can be readily spotted, and yes, as dorky as it may look - pull socks OVER the cuff of your pant leg. Cowboy or rain boots that go partially up the path are also good cover, but not conducive for walking uneven trails. Amp up your kit! Add additional homeopathic remedies and items for a holistic camping first aid kit. We show you what is in ours here. |
We have a limited supply of Tick Removal Kits available for $38 for our PMA members.
