Homemade Healthy Condiments
Avocado Mayonaise
Use quart jar and an immersion blender. Have only made mayonnaise with immersion blender. If you have done so with another type of blender please share. Ingredients: 1 egg, room temperature is key 2 tsp. lemon juice 1 tsp. dijon mustard (acts as emulsifier - do not skip) 1 c. avocado oil Blend using immersion blender on turbo, or highest setting. Submerse into the ingredients to bottom of the jar. Do not move until mayonaise has been completely emulsified. Once done, you may add garlic, if desired, pinch of salt - and blend a few seconds more. Will keep approximately 3 weeks in the refrigerator. |
