Copper In the Spotlight. Truth About Vitamin C and Synthetic Supplements.
Is there any element on earth that is of more importance than copper?
In 2022 I began to dig deeper into the truths about copper and iron. In 2023, many nights were spent reading, and listening to podcasts with Morley Robbins, author of “Cu-re Your Fatigue” and my mentor, Dr. Alphonzo Monzo. With every podcast, and every additional book on the subject of either copper or iron, more and more is being revealed. Is copper the missing link to disease prevention? I am inclined to believe so. Copper is the great detoxifier, it is in charge of four tasks:
Nobel prize winner, Dr. Otto Warburg, in the 1800s, determined that cells take on cancer properties when the cell is deprived of oxygen. According to Warburg's research 60% oxygen is needed to maintain healthy cells. His research is noted by many in the holistic field of cancer treatments. Has Warburg's research been fully disclosed? Why is the cell deprived of oxygen in the first place? Why is this not addressed - is it not the root cause? What is the transport mechanism? How does oxygen get into the cells in the first place? The 2nd half of Warburg's research, that no one seems to talk about, was to determine the importance of the copper carrying protein - ceruloplasmin. Oxygen cannot get into the cells without copper to "push" it through the cell wall. Therefore, copper is extremely important in preventing oxidative stress. I would suggest it is beyond important! Through the years, in my own research, I have come to realize that I have been led astray - even by alternative and holistic teachings. I had been taught that supplementing with Vitamin C was critical for immune health. Many quote the Linus Pauling study - which I learned in the past 24 months, was funded by the Rockefellers. Following the money always raises more questions. Was Pauling using whole food forms of Vitamin C in his research, such as super fruits of Amla, Baobab, and Camu Camu? As a result of the study the supplement industry released 1000s of synthetic Vitamin C, ascorbic acid, into the market. Regulators require supplement companies to list ascorbic acid on the label. Therefore, it is critical to know the source from which your Vitamin C supplement comes. Is it a whole food source, or is it synthetic? Synthetic ascorbic acid breaks down the copper carrying protein ceruloplasmin. This importance has already been noted. |
