Cilantro Kick Smoothie
This smoothie is bright in flavor, combining fruits with power greens. Extra add ins of anti-oxidants is optional. Cilantro is a natural detoxifier for the body. Whenever pineapple is used in a smoothie fresh is always best so you can blend up the core, which contains the greatest amount of beneficial bromelain proteolytic enzyme.
Ingredients:
6 oz. filtered water
2 scoops vegan non-soy protein (approx. 20 grams protein)
1 scoop (serving) of pure fiber boosting powder
½ banana
4-5 chunks organic mango (search frozen foods at grocery)
½ wheel of pineapple with the core (frozen chunks may be substituted)
1 handful of power greens (kale, spinach, swiss chard)
Mini handful of cilantro (approx. 6 sprigs 3-4” long)
1/4 cup creamy coconut milk from the can
Piece of fresh ginger root (to preference)
4-6 ice cubes
Optional:
½ tsp. of buffered vitamin C powder (Nutribiotic Sodium Ascorbate)
½ tsp. turmeric
For extra creaminess add in a tablespoon of avocado flesh.
Add additional filtered water if less thickness is preferred.
