Herbs & Plants We Love, Grow and Forage
This section on our website is intended to provide a glimpse into the herbs and plants we grow, or medicinal "weeds" we forage on our acre plus piece of heaven. We hope it encourages you to begin growing or discovering the plants in your own area that you can utilize for your family's well-being.
New to this site in July 2022 - it is definitely a work in progress. Many of the articles have already been blogged, but we have decided to place the information permanently in this section for ease of locating by our PMA members.
Whether you live in an urban neighborhood or are homesteading out in the boonies, herbs not only add zing to meals, many offer medicinal properties. An herbal apothecary is very important for anyone who desires to live a more organic, holistic lifestyle. Purely Living Wellness periodically offers classes on selecting herbs and making tinctures. If this is of interest to you please reach out.

YOU are responsible for how you use this educational information. It is up to you to correctly identify a plant, how to use it properly, learn its toxicities and precautions, and make the decision on how to use it. Some plants are to be used for external use only - very beneficial as topicals - such as Joe Pye Weed, which is excellent as a soothing tonic to treat burns.
