One delivered a divine message to me- which reiterated what the little voice inside me has been saying for some time...simply to take time to rest, and let God do the healing. It was a message that requires setting aside what I am programmed to do...research and seek the cure.
I reviewd my calendar and set aide time - for Tuesday the 21st. Unplugged...for the morning. Resting. Taking in the word, which I did through "Jesus is Calling". The message led me to Roman 8:6...
"The mind governed by flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace."
No doubt because I wa fighting a craving for Kettle potato chips, food cravings came to mind when I read the passage.I know the message is much deeper than food craving, but think about this for a miniute...
It is our mind that makes us different from all other animals - we have been given freedom of choice. Our mind, when on things of this earth, can deviate from the plan God has planned for us. Hi plan is for us to consume God food - and if we did so we would be healthy as people. Junk food is flesh food. My mind has a weakness for salty chips and the result is poor health if I were to make it a habit.
Of course Romans 8 is not about junk food, but everlasting life that we will experience when we live according to the Spirit within. Does this mean we will not suffer?
Most certainly no! It is when we do suffer that the world may see God's true children. And in this time of triial we have great hope in healing..."we wait for it patiently". (Rom 8:25b)
Choose well, be well.
