Psalm 56:3-4
A friend asks, "How do you handle fear?" I responded that I pray. But I believe it is much more than simple prayer....
A short while later I find myself driving through upper Michigan listening to Fernando Ortega, and it is quite clear - I just throw up my hands and sing "HALLELUJAH!" at the top of my voice. Repeat. Repeat and I say it again, repeat!
No stranger to fear, there was plenty while my husband went through his journey with late stage cancer. I was overwhelmed with my new role...setting aside that of wife for the most part, and becoming nurse, researcher, nutritionist, health advocate, and CANCER WARRIOR!
But throughout our journey, as it was not my husband's alone, it was ours as a family...we stayed grounded in the Word. We TRUSTED in Him. We asked the Lord to move the mountains so our journey to the other side could be made easier. We asked him to part the waters, so we could walk through unharmed. Lord knows I cried out plenty of times, most often alone in my car. No matter the days news, we TRUSTED. Always. Never doubting the path God was placing before us, we knew it was to be for His glory, no matter the outcome.
I could not wear all the new hats I had to wear, and put my all in all into my Arbonne business. I gave my business to God. I put in what time I could, but it was up to the Lord to give us the paycheck we needed to get by. He amazed me, not surprisingly, with the largest paychecks of my Arbonne consultant career. (The blessings of residual income and how He manifested sales that I did not seek!")
Each morning I awoke and thanked him for the blessings and healing He was already providing for me and my family. When you are grateful in even the darkest moments, your heart and soul feel lighter. I remember reading a bible verse in Jesus Calling together with Jesse "perfect Love casts out fear". The opposite of fear is not brave, but LOVE. I made a small canvas art with the words "Trust in Perfect Love".
1st John 4:18 reads, "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear."
As I continued my drive down the highway Laren Daigle's song came onto K-Love radio. And because of this, I was compelled to alter my coffee house stop to prep for my class tomorrow, to write this blog in response to my friend's question, "What do you do when you have fear?"
The only thing I have found that can really dispel fear in my heart is not prayer, but PRAISE. My go to is Meredith Andrew's "Worth It All" CD - which brought us through our journey with cancer. But sometimes I am at the mercy of the radio, and God puts lyrics on the air that are always perfect in His timing. It is a total mind shift when one is singing praise.
FEAR is the greatest of negative frequencies. Negative energy. Negative energy begets negative energy. I do all I can to put myself in the realm of positive energy. Which is why, I believe, God has led me to the path of frequency work as my new destiny...
One of my clients was given a message as I was serving her with an MSA scan, a message she said came from above, "We are all spoken into existence... now that is the highest of all frequencies. We each have our own song." This was profound, and divinely inspired. Ironically as I type this, I realize the person who gave me this divine message was referred to me by the friend experiencing fear in her life. I do not believe in coincidences.
To you my readers, I offer this thought - what is charge on your own personal frequency. Is it negative or positive? Did you know that the lowest hertz frequencies are equivalent to cancer? Therefore I urge you, when you are in a negative fear state, take action. Pop in your favorite worship CD and sing at the top of your lungs. Fall prostrate on the floor, allow His Spirit to overcome you. God works for the good of all. It may not be the road we envisioned...
Yes, the Lord can move mountains, he can bore holes through rocks as evidenced by the Arch on Mackinac Island. The Lord can part the waters and make our passageway safe and quick. But we cannot see or understand the Lord's ways. We can only humble ourself and serve His people as we are called to do.
If you find yourself in a state of fear, I encourage you to click play on the video link below...and sing at the top of your voice, void of care as to whom hears you....if you live in the Bible belt of Michigan...the neighbors may just sing along with you!
Always trusting the path He has prepared for me,
Rita S.
Refrain lyrics from "Trust in You"
When You don’t move the mountains I’m needing You to move
When You don’t part the waters I wish I could walk through
When You don’t give the answers as I cry out to You
I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You!
