Let me offer some clarificiation on the synthesizaton process......nature, at its very best, is rarely PURE. When a company has the highest of purity standards synthesis is necessary, ZERO tolerance for impurities that might be harmful. Zero tolerance for trace metals, of which plants naturally absorb from the ground, along with other contaminants - yes, even in organic soil.
Purity, in my opinion, ALWAYS trumps the "organic" label.
One company who prides itself on purity makes this statement:
"Science" as an ingredient source indicates that the ingredient is prepared in a lab. This typically indicates the ingredient is synthetically prepared to meet or exceed our standards of purity. It can also refer to botanically sourced ingredients that have been combined in a lab to duplicate a substance that is otherwise prohibitively expensive to use, or that is normally only obtained from animal sources."
I hope this sheds some light on green science, and why combining science with nature's botanicals is so very smart. On this chilly St. Patrick's Day - I thought I would clue you in on the Green.
Be well,
Rita
