Intuition (aka the Spirit at work, whispering in my head) told me to put the seeds into my smoothie along with the flesh of the fruit. Seeds are what gives life and often the greatest benefits of a plant is from the seed.
Well, today, after a weeks of adding fresh papaya, seeds and all, to my smoothies, I decided to look it up...just to be sure, as I had not dropped over yet. Oh yes! The papaya seeds are hugely beneficial. So if you are adding this gem of a super fruit to your smoothies- don't throw the best part. Add those seeds to your wellness routine!
Pineapple Papaya Smoothie (aka Proteolytic Enzyme Power)
8 oz. filtered water
2 scoops essentials pure, vegan Vanilla protein
½ scoop Fiber Boost supplement
½ to 1 scoop Greens Balanc super food
½ wheel of fresh pineapple, wedged (use the rind if organic)
3-4 chunks fresh papaya (peeled) – include the seeds!
¼ cup Thai brand coconut milk (from the can)
Pinch Celtic gray sea salt
¼ to ½ tsp. quality cinnamon
¼ inch piece, or as desired, fresh ginger root
