I praised my children when they were young, it reinforced good behavior.
Of course when they did something that put them in danger, I did not praise them, but made eye to eye contact, and had a serious discussion about why their actions put them in danger.
Today on this website I posted an depth reflection on praise. Who and when do you praise? Only in the good times, or do you praise God in the storm? I shared about one of the most painful times in my life, but despite how I was feeling, God was with me. I felt His presence. I praised Him. He walks beside me.
Soon, on April 8, the moon will cover the sun. According to experts of Biblical history - a solar eclipse is a time when judgement is ruled over a nation, whereas a lunar eclipse is a judgement over the land of Israel. Only YHWH, Creator of heaven and earth, controls the moon and the sun. Is He trying to get our attention? Is He wanting to have a serious discussion with us, as citizens of the United States, about our behavior, or actions...our falling away from Him, which we have most certainly done.
Does the mere thought of God wanting to get your attention deliver to your soul a sense of fear, or one of joy and excitement?
Who controls the moon and the sun? Certainly not man, although I have no doubt the elite would like to be able to. To those that follow Satan…well, even the Prince of Darkness cannot control the sun and the moon.
How much better for all of mankind to give praise to the One and the Only, the Father of the universe, the heavens, oceans, and Creator of each and every human being...whether you know Him or not. He created YOU.
Do you know the most powerful force in the entire universe? God. For He alone is worthy of our praise. I praise Him, along with the sun, moon, oceans and heavens.
There is a lot of speculation about this eclipse. I agree that it will be Biblical - for the very fact that God is in control of it. Will it usher in the Lord's return? No one knows. Matthew 24:42 instructs us, “…stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming”.
What I do know, is that on the day that Jesus returns to earth with His Heavenly Army, I will fall down and praise Him. Not only will it be good for my soul, it will be essential in receiving the gift of everlasting life!
