they will run and not grow weary. they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
The oasis is a beautiful respite from the demands of the day...a place to sit quietly and meditate upon the Word, life, and what lies ahead. What lies ahread is truly a mystery. Only God knows the plans He has for us. But sitting quietly allows me to trust in His plan. Somedays I am overwhelmed by the magnitude of being widowed in the prime of life, yet my life overflows with blessings.
As I sit in the oasis, I am learning to trust God more and more each day. I see His mighty hand at work on my behalf. I am waiting for it, even though patience has NEVER been my strong suit. God has been working on this virtue for a good number of years...when we were waiting to be matched with our adopted daughter, as an example. Delay after delay, it was a lesson in patience, and an opportunity to use the time to be creative. I feel a great connect with the Creator when I am creating.
I believe God has only great things in store for me and my family. We will gladly receive the goodness He provides. My hope is in the Lord. He is my strength, and will carry me through on the days when I do feel weary. He walks beside me, as is evidenced by the "kisses from heaven" that float down from the sky in the oasis. One day it will be my turn to fly, and I will SOAR on wings like eagles!
When one visits Purely Living Wellness, they are welcome to take a break from the day to day, and find respite. After a relaxing session on the BioMat, lingering in the oasis allows one to connect with their inner soul and ponder. You see, we seldom stop...to sit quietly. Am I right?
But what if we were to make a habit out of sitting quietly? I have no doubt, that our greatest dreams will take flight
May you find peace and joy,
Rita
