Have you visited the backyard oasis at Purely Living Wellness this summer? Those that have say that even 5 minutes of stillness, listening to the birds, watching butterflies flit from flower to flower, envelopes them in peace. Anxiety melts away.
With cooler than normal temperatures the oasis has been a haven as a workspace for myself. Usually I will sit on the patio to run scans on DNA that was sent, but once in a while I will ask a client, who is also a friend, if they would like to have their scan in the backyard oasis.
I decided to work out back again this morning - enjoying what is left of my blooms. The Elegans hostas are in bloom - perfuming the air with their potent fragrance. I seem to have found a place where Joe Pyeweed is finally happy - as it has grown to nearly 4 ft. tall. It isIn bud to feed the late Monarchs as they head to Mexico, and has been used as a medicinal for centuries for kidney stones. The Pokeweed plant God mysteriously planted a few years ago is so interesting to watch in its stages (root is medicinal). Before frost the budding fronds will become black berries. Jewelweed and goldenrod (excellent for allergies - I must make a tincture!) is in bloom on my wooded hillside. Purple coneflower is hanging in there, and impatiens are happy and bright. Although the bee balm is wilting hummingbirds continue to be nourished by it.
The Word and the sound of the water flowing in the fountain feeds my soul and offers it rest. (Ps 131:2). I pray you take time for yourself to do this...for myself, it must be intentional as I am the type of person who wakes and starts to get right to work. I had DNA Thetawork done last week with Josie Collins, and she reminded me of the importance of 15 minutes of quiet meditation and prayer each morning.
Please join me in lifting up a family of 10 I learned of yesterday. A mother, pregnant 13 weeks, learned her severe backache was late stage cancer. The baby died, and she was sent home with a week to live. The couple has 9 children. I don't know these people, but a friend shared their story - they need a miracle, and for certain God's peace and love.
Love as God loves. Respect people, promote unity vs division, become aware, say, "I love you" even if it is not repeated back...because that person may not see you the next day. We never know when we will draw our last breath. Live and love with no regrets. Trust your journey.
In peace, love and light,
Rita S.
